    What's New

    • NV Charter and NV Garamond have been updated. This also affects the KF variants.
      • For more information about the changes to these fonts, see #4 and #5.
    • KF fonts are now stripped of their TrueType hints for an optimal rendering experience on high resolution E Ink displays.
      • I'm still testing fonts with this configuration and verifying if things render optimally for each font.
    • KF Charter Basic has also been added to the extra font collection.

    Warning

If you are using a Kobo device and reading books purchased from the Kobo Store or reading kepub files converted via Calibre, you should download the Kobo Collection (kobo-core.zip, kobo-extra.zip), which has fonts slightly altered for optimal kerning for the kepub renderer.

For more information about the fonts, screenshots and how to install them, please consult the README.

    License

Due to the nature of the OFL/libre licensing of the fonts, you may find these or the original fonts also excellent for embedding in your digital books in lieu of a commercial font, which may be prohibitively expensive to license if you wish to distribute your own epub files.

More info about licensing information can be found in the FAQ, which is part of the README.

This update adds KF versions of fonts, which are optimized for kerning on Kobo devices.

I've also added new fonts to the extra collection.

Included in this release right now are my tweaked fonts and personal favorites, optimized for reading on Kobo devices.

Version 2.0 of this collection is now split into two separate parts, a Core Fonts and an Extra Fonts collection. To make it easier for you to install these fonts, I've now bundled them in two .zip files, each containing all fonts that are part of the collection.

    What's New

The following fonts were added to the core collection:

    • NV Membo (based on fbb)
    • NV Scarlet (based on Crimson 2012)
    • NV Georsio (based on Gelasio)
    • NV Legible (based on Atkinson Hyperlegible Next)

The following fonts were added to the extras collection:

    • NV Charis (based on Charis 7.0)
    • NV Cooper (based on Cooper*)
    • NV Junius (based on Junicode)
    • NV Gentium (based on Gentium 7.0)
    • NV Libertinus (based on Libertinus Serif)
    • NV Old Style (based on QT Caslan)

Any other fonts remain the same as before.
